Transforming Houston’s Food Industry: Finc’s New Sustainable Mushroom Factory

Finc Bio-Tech, in collaboration with OCM Food Group, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of our new mushroom production facility in Houston’s Westchase district. This marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring fresh, locally grown enoki mushrooms to the U.S. market. Located at 11155 Westpark Drive, the 258,000-square-foot facility will be our first in the U.S., setting the stage for local production that significantly reduces supply chain delays while providing high-quality, sustainable mushrooms to meet growing consumer demand.

Bringing Freshness and Sustainability to the U.S. Market

At Finc Bio-Tech, we are committed to both innovation and sustainability. Our new facility will use cutting-edge smart farming technology to ensure optimal growth conditions for enoki mushrooms, which are known for their health benefits and popularity in Asian cuisines. This move allows us to provide fresh products to U.S. grocers and restaurants, reducing the time it takes for mushrooms to reach the market, as opposed to importing them from overseas.

This facility will initially focus on serving specialty grocers and restaurants, but we plan to expand to mainstream retailers as demand grows. Enoki mushrooms are increasingly recognized for their health properties, and we are confident in the growing interest not just from Asian customers but from a broader, health-conscious market.

Sustainability and Local Impact

The Houston mushroom factory is a major investment in local agriculture and the economy. We have committed to eco-friendly practices, including water recycling systems and energy-efficient lighting. The facility will also support local job creation, with plans to hire skilled workers familiar with mushroom cultivation and smart farming technology.

Our decision to build the factory in Houston was driven by the city’s diverse population, including a large Asian-American community, which represents a growing demand for specialty foods like enoki mushrooms. The factory’s presence will further strengthen Houston’s position as a hub for food innovation and manufacturing.

Global Recognition and Technological Innovation

Finc Bio-Tech’s commitment to technological excellence and sustainable agricultural practices has earned us a reputation as an industry leader. With over 190 patents for mushroom cultivation technologies, we continue to set the standard for quality and efficiency in the mushroom industry. Our strategic partnership with OCM Food Group further expands our reach into the U.S. market, allowing us to provide high-quality mushrooms to customers nationwide.
